Tip: the ECU number is printed on your old unit. If it says 101N0212, order the 101N0242, which replaces it.

The ECU (electronic control unit) is the box mounted on the compressor that runs it. SunDanzer models have used several compressors over the years, so choose the ECU by the model on your compressor label. If your old ECU's number is listed above, order the same one; a 101N0212 is replaced by the 101N0242.

Read your compressor label

  1. Disconnect the fridge from the battery.
  2. Find the compressor in the machine compartment at the back of the unit. The ECU is the black box fixed to it.
  3. Read the model on the compressor label: it starts with BD or BDN, for example BDN50K or BD35F.
  4. Note the number on the ECU label (for example 101N2740 or 101N0242).

Not sure the ECU is the fault? The troubleshooting guide walks through the ECU checks before you buy. Compressor not listed, or the label is unreadable? Email us a photo.
