Our team

The people who design, build and stand behind every SunDanzer.

A small team of engineers and cold-chain specialists. When you call SunDanzer, you talk to the people who designed the equipment.

Founder

From NASA to the last mile of the cold chain.

David Bergeron, founder, president and CEO of SunDanzer

Founder, President & CEO

David Bergeron

David has spent 40 years in refrigeration and aerospace. At NASA's Johnson Space Center he was technical lead for the Advanced Technology Refrigeration project, led a solar-powered heat pump demonstration for a lunar habitat, and was lead engineer on a satellite designed for reentry and recovery. The battery-free solar refrigerator he developed there became the basis for SunDanzer in 1999.

Today he leads SunDanzer's research and development, including our next-generation lithium + phase-change vaccine refrigerators.

  • 6 patents: 3 refrigeration, 3 spacecraft
  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Texas A&M
  • MS Finance, University of Houston–Clear Lake

David was 16, driving his first car, when the 1970s gas lines showed him how much the world depended on oil. He studied renewable energy as an engineering student, spent 18 years building satellites, and started SunDanzer part-time in 1999. By year five it was his full-time job.
